There is a new game in town. I suggest the use of it by everyone. More or less the rules are:

1. You take something out of context in a conversation. Generally a pairing of words or short phrase.
2. You make an arbitrary connection to pop culture.
3. You state out loud (phrase) is my (pop culture reference) tribute band, movie, homage, video game. etc…

For example:

Me: damnit the gary oak hoodie is 404ing
Booker: “Gary Oak hoodie is 404ing” is the name of my new breakdance move
Me: pop, lock, then gary oak. instant classic bro
Booker: lay out the cardboard brother
Me: “the cardboard brother” is my Donnie Darko Puppet masterpiece
